"La polizia accusa: il servizio segreto uccide" (aka "Chopper squad" -" Silent action" è il secondo poliziesco girato da Sergio Martino dopo "Milano trema, la polizia vuole giustizia".In questa seconda prova Martino preferisce dare un'impronta più politica al film; la trama narra la vicenda del solito "commisario di ferro", interpretato da Luc Merenda, che indaga su una serie di omicidi, spacciati per suicidi, di funzionari dell'esercito. Le indagini porteranno il commissario a sventare un colpo di Stato e scontrarsi con una realtà troppo pericolosa e scomoda per un comune commissario di polizia. Anche in questo film l'abilità registica di Sergio Martino si rivela salda ed elegante, specie nelle scene d'azione come la notevole lunga sequenza finale dell'assalto degli elicotteri della polizia al campo base dei militari golpisti. "La polizia accusa..." è una pellicola dai toni forti e scomodi che racconta, nella finzione cinematografica, molte trame p olitiche segrete che minacciavano lo Stato italiano negli anni 70.Il film è sopportato da un ottimo cast, dal già citato Luc Merenda, all'attore americano Mel Ferrer fino al bravo Tomas Millian in una piccola, ma incisiva parte che lascia il segno. Digitmovies presenta come terzo volume della serie dedicata ai polizieschi all'italiana la colonna sonora originale completa di Luciano Michelini , autore di numerose ost per il Cinema tra cui "Decamerone nero" (1972), "Anna, quel particolare piacere" (1973), "Morte sospetta di una minorenne" (1975), "La città gioca d'azzardo" (1975), "L'isola degli uomini pesce" (1979). Per "La polizia accusa: il servizio segreto uccide", Luciano Michelini ha creato un commento sinfonico che alterna romanticismo a dramma e mistero. Il nostro CD si apre con il tema dei Titoli di testa (Tr.1), un motivo dark dato da un ostinato degli archi , percussioni e pianoforte ripreso poi in Tr.3,Tr.12. Un secondo motivo principale è il Tema d'amore che viene introdotto in versione lenta e romantica con arrangiamento moderno (Tr.2) e ripreso poi in Tr.4 e nella seconda parte del Finale (Tr.15).Musica di supence,talvolta lenta, talvolta ritmica e d'azione, commenta la parte più dark del la trama in Tr.5,Tr.6,Tr.7,Tr.9,Tr.10,Tr.11,Tr.14,Tr.16. Un altro tema ricorrente è una marcia grottesca (Tr.8, Tr.13,Tr.15).Alla fine del Cd abbiamo incluso i brani non usati nel film: pezzi di suspence e d'azione (Tr.16, Tr.18, Tr.21,Tr.22,Tr.23, ) la versione breve (Tr.19) e quella lunga (Tr.25) del romantico e moderno tema dei Titoli di Testa non utilizzato che riprendono lo stile di Morricone e Nicolai dei Gialli italiani, il tema d'amore (Tr.20), due ballabili (Tr.17, Tr.24). Inizialmente erano stati ritrovati solo i nastri missati in mono, ma ulteriori ricerche negli archivi della Rca hanno portato alla luce i nastri stereofonici che ci hanno permesso di realizzare questo CD con un suono superiore.

“La polizia accusa: il servizio segreto uccide” (aka “Chopper squad” -” Silent action”) is the second police movie directed by Sergio Martino after “Milano trema, la polizia vuole giustizia”. In his second experience as director Martino prefers to give a strong political overtone: the main character is again the “tough commissioner” played by Luc Merenda, investigating a series of murder cases (played them of as suicides) of army functionaries. Through the investigations the commissioner exposes a coup d’état and encounters a reality too dangerous and troublesome for him. Once again the proficiency of director Sergio Martino reveals strongly and elegantly, especially in action scenes like the notable long final scene (assault against the headquarters). “La polizia accusa...” is a movie with strong message. It tells – through Cinema fiction – many secret political plans that menaced the Italian state during the seventies. The movie is supported by a notable cast, like the already mentioned Luc Merenda, American actor Mel Ferrer, the good Tomas Milian in a small, but strong role that leaves its sign. Digitmovies presents as third volume of its series dedicated to the Italian police movies the complete original motion picture soundtrack by Luciano Michelini, author of several OST for the screen like “Decamerone nero” (1972), “Anna, quel particolare piacere” (1973), “Morte sospetta di una minorenne” (1975), “La città gioca d’azzardo” (1975), “L’isola degli uomini pesce” (1979). For “La polizia accusa: il servizio segreto uccide”, Luciano Michelini created a symphonic score that alternates between romantic atmosphere to dramatic and mystery ones. Our CD opens with the theme of Titoli di testa (Tr.1), a dark motif given by string ostinato, percussions and piano, reprised later in Tr.3 and Tr.12. The secondary theme is a Love theme introduced as a slow and romantic version with a modern arrangement (Tr.2) and then reprised in Tr.4 and in the second part of Finale (Tr.15). Suspense music – sometimes slow, slow rhythmical – and action cues underscore the darkest side of the story in Tr.5, Tr.6, Tr.7, Tr.9, Tr.10, Tr.11, Tr.14, Tr.16. Another recurring theme is a grotesque march (Tr.8, Tr.13, Tr.15). At the end of the CD we included tracks not used in the movies: suspense and action music (Tr.16, Tr.18, Tr.21, Tr.22, Tr.23,), the short version (Tr.19) and the long version (Tr.25) of the modern and romantic unused theme of “Titoli di testa” that reproduces the Morricone and Nicolai sound of the Italian Giallo; the love theme (Tr.20) and two dance floor themes (Tr.17, Tr.24). Initially we only found the monaural master tapes of this score, but further searches in the Rca archives resulted in the discovery of the stereophonic tapes that gave us the chance to realize a CD with far superior sound.
