Digitmovies presenta per la prima volta assoluta su CD due colonne sonore composte e dirette da Franco Micalizzi : “Sei jellato amico, hai incontrato Sacramento” (aka “You're Jinxed, Friend, You've Met Sacramento”) e “ I due volti della paura “ (aka “The two Faces of Terror”). Queste due ost furono stampate nella rarissima serie di sonorizzazione non in vendita su etichetta Pegaso e questo CD è stato realizzato utilizzando i master stereofonici dei 33 giri dell’epoca conservati fino ad oggi negli archivi della Rca. “Sei jellato amico, hai incontrato Sacramento” (ost uscita su LP Pegaso PG 8) è un western del 1972 diretto da Giorgio Cristallini ed interpretato dall’attore americano Ty Hardin. Sulla scia del grande successo cinematografico e musicale di “Lo chiamavano Trinità”), Franco Micalizzi fu ingaggiato per scrivere la colonna sonora di questa pellicola che come nel caso di Trinità mescola orchestra sinfonica tradizionale a sonorità Pop: Il Main Theme è uno Spiritual Beat per orchestra e coro, molto Pop nell’uso dei fiati e delle percussioni (Tr.1) ripreso in chiave burlesco Beat (Tr.5) poi nel Finale (Tr.15) Questa Ost vede la frequente partecipazione della straordinaria armonica di Franco De Gemini, ma anche della incredibile voce di Edda Dell’Orso (Tr.2). Chitarre elettriche distorte accompagnano la tromba di un malinconico Deguello che strizza l’occhio a Sergio Leone (Tr.3), temi ariosi molto romantici (Tr.4, Tr.10, Tr.11) si alternano ad altri di suspence e d’azione (Tr.7,Tr.8,Tr.13) e di tipo folcloristico (Tr.6,Tr.12) ed a un favoloso Gospel per voce maschile solista, coro ed orchestra (Tr.9). “I due volti della paura” (ost uscita su LP Pegaso PG 5) è un giallo del 1972 diretto da Tullio Demicheli ed interpretato da Gorge Hilton, Luciana Paluzzi,Anita Strindberg e Fernando Rey. Nei primi anni settanta uscivano nelle sale molti gialli con le musiche di Ennio Morricone e Bruno Nicolai e così Franco Micalizzi ha composto una ost con sonorità tipiche di quel periodo. Dopo l’ntroduzione con un adagio di sapore classico, il tema principale si sviluppa con un arrangiamento Beat vocalizzato da Edda Dell’Orso (Tr.16), ripreso poi in maniera romantica con organo, chitarra basso ed orchestra (Tr.17),in versione ballabile a shake (Tr.20), in versione “caccia” veloce con bongos e voce femminile (Tr.21) e lento ad adagio con la voce di Edda (Tr.27). Pezzi dissonanti di suspence (Tr.23, Tr.25, Tr.27) si alternano ad un altro tema di sapore classico, ma con arrangiamento Beat vocalizzato da Edda (Tr.22,Tr.24). La ost è completata da un lungo brano per organo liturgico (Tr.18) e da un aggressivo shake (Tr.26).

Digitmovies presents for the first time on CD two original scores composed and conducted by Franco Micalizzi: “Sei jellato amico, hai incontrato Sacramento” (aka “You're Jinxed, Friend, You've Met Sacramento”) and “I due volti della paura“ (aka “The two Faces of Terror”). These two OSTs were released on the top rare Pegaso Library Series. This CD was realized using the stereophonic master tape of the original 33 rpm albums that has been preserved in the Rca Archives until today. “Sei jellato amico, hai incontrato Sacramento” (OST issued on LP Pegaso PG 8) is a Western movie from 1972 directed by Giorgio Cristallini and starring American actor Ty Hardin. Following the huge theatrical and musical success of “Lo chiamavano Trinità”, Franco Micalizzi was engaged to write the score for this motion picture. Like in the case of Trinità, Micalizzi blends the traditional symphonic orchestra with Pop sound: The Main Theme is a Spiritual Beat for orchestra and Choir, pure Pop concerning the use of brass and percussions (Tr.1). The theme is reprised with a Burlesque – Beat key in Tr.5 and also in the Finale (Tr.15). This OST features frequent participation of the extraordinary harmonica of Franco De Gemini as well as the incredible voice of Edda Dell’Orso (Tr.2). Distorted electric guitars accompany the trumpet in the melancholic Deguello (Tr.3) evoking the atmosphere of Sergio Leone’s Cinema. The score is enriched with airy romantic themes (Tr.4, Tr.10, Tr.11), suspense and action music (Tr.7,Tr.8,Tr.13), folklore tunes (Tr.6,Tr.12) and with a fabulous Gospel for solo male voice, choir and orchestra (Tr.9). “I due volti della paura” (OST issued on LP Pegaso PG 5) is a 1972 Giallo directed by Tullio Demicheli, starring Gorge Hilton, Luciana Paluzzi, Anita Strindberg and Fernando Rey. During the early ‘70s many Giallo movies were released in the theatres with music scores by Ennio Morricone and Bruno Nicolai. Franco Micalizzi composed an OST with sound typical for that period. After an introduction of a classical flavoured Adagio, the main theme is developed with a Beat arrangement vocalized by Edda Dell’Orso (Tr.16). The main theme is then reprised with a romantic mood for organ, bass guitar and orchestra (Tr.17), with a shake dancefloor version (Tr.20), in a fast “chase” with bongos and female voice (Tr.21) and as a slow adagio with Edda’ s voice (Tr.27). Apart from dissonant suspense themes (Tr.23, Tr.25, Tr.27) Micalizzi provided another classic flavoured theme, but with Beat arrangement vocalized by Edda (Tr.22,Tr.24). The OST concludes with a long track for liturgical organ (Tr.18) and with an aggressive shake (Tr.26).
