In occasione del centenario della nascita del leggendario musicista ungherese Miklós Rózsa , avvenuta il 18 aprile del 1907 a Budapest (e morto a Los Angeles il 27 luglio del 1995), Digitmovies è veramente orgogliosa, dopo aver prodotto tanti CD dedicati ai grandi musicisti italiani, di ospitare nella sua collana il suo primo CD dedicato ad un così importante musicista internazionale quale è Miklós Rózsa, pubblicando per la prima volta un doppio CD BOX de-luxe edition con la sua colonna sonora originale completa in full stereo di “SODOMA E GOMORRA” diretto da Robert Aldrich (e Sergio Leone come regista della seconda unità) nel 1962. Questo doppio CD allo stesso tempo festeggia anche il 45°anniversario del film e della sua colonna sonora.Per la realizzazione di questo doppio CD Box de-luxe edition siamo stati ancora una volta aiutati dagli amici della C.A.M. che ha autorizzato la prima pubblicazione ufficiale, completa ed in full stereo, di questa memorabile OST (durata totale di 111’38”) con l’aggiunta di 6 rare bonus tracks inedite ritrovate nei master della session dell’epoca: 5 pezzi corali alternativi ed una danza ebraica che furono registrati nella session del ’62, ma non usati nella versione finale del film. Il nostro doppio CD contiene un libretto a colori di venti pagine ricco di informazioni sul film e il compositore e rari materiali vintage come rare foto d'archivio e posters internazionale.Nonostante un adeguato restauro e remastering digitale certe anomalie preesistenti sulle fonti originali possono sussistere.

On the Occasion of the Centenary of the Birth of legendary Hungarian composer and musician Miklós Rózsa (April 18, 1907 – Budapest and sadly passed away on the 27th july of 1995 in Los Angeles.) Digitmovies is truly proud to present – after having produced numerous CDs dedicated to great Italian musicians – the first CD dedicated to the important international musician Miklós Rózsa releasing for the first time a double CD BOX de-luxe edition of the full stereo original motion picture score from the 1962 movie “SODOM AND GOMORRAH” directed by Robert Aldrich (and Sergio Leone as second unit director). This double-disc set also celebrates the 45th anniversary of the movie and its musical score. The realization of our double CD Box de-luxe edition was made possible – once again – thanks to the generous help of C.A.M. authorizing this first official complete stereo edition (with a total playing time of 111’38”) of this memorable OST including 6 rare inedit bonus tracks discovered on the original session master tapes: 5 alternative choral pieces and a Jewish dance piece that were recorded during the 1962 session but not used in the final version of the movie. Our double Cd contains a booklet with 20 colour pages enriched with informations on the movie and the composer and rare vintage materials like archive stills and international posters. Despite careful digital restoration and remastering some anomalies pre-existing on the original sources remain.
