GDM Music presents another music rarity from
the Italian Western genre: I lunghi giorni dell'odio directed
by Gianfranco Baldanello and starring the American actor Guy
Madison: the original motion picture score until today inedit
is composed and conducted by Amedeo Tommasi, noted jazzman and
author of noted film scores the Pupi Avati cult movies like
Balsamus, Thomas e gli indemoniati, La casa dalle finestre che
ridono.
This CD is possible thanks to the mono master tapes survived
in the RCA vaults, a very remarkable discovery that gives the
opportunity to the Italian Western aficionados to archive another
Ost from a genre until today beloved by fans.
Amedeo Tommasi, very good exponent of the Italian Jazz, seems
to go far from the Italian sound, but more close to the American
westerns scored by Jerry Goldsmith and Elmer Bernstein, with
some citation of the James Bond genre regarding the brass use.
Sound digitally remastered using the original elements, de-luxe
eight pages booklet enriched with vintage colour stills. |

In this spaghetti western, two adventurous
G-men masquerade as arms smugglers and sneak into a gang.
When one of them returns home, he finds his parents have been
murdered and his sister brutally raped.
Now he rides out for revenge and bloody mayhem ensues.
