Digitmovies continues to travel through the world of erotic
movies Italian style by releasing on CD for the first time
complete and in full stereo the OST by the brothers Guido
& Maurizio De Angelis from the movie La Moglie Di Mio
Padre directed in 1976 by Andrea Bianchi and starring Carroll
Baker, Adolfo Celi, Jenny Tamburi, Cesare Barro, Luigi Pistilli,
Femi Benussi, Gabriella Giorgelli.
For his remarriage Antonio Lendini (Celi), a rich industrialist
from Northern Italy, has married Laura (Baker), a very beautiful
and young woman.
When Claudio (Barro), the son of the businessman, returns,
a short-spanned relationship between the young man and the
stepmother is born which will suffice for the woman to acquire
the knowledge of her own personality and rights.
When Claudio leaves, Laura goes away.
The husband searches for her and implores her to come back
to him, but she refuses.
Antonio does not accept the prospect of remaining alone forever
and he kills her while the woman is skiing on a mountain.
This CD represents a music rarity for all the fans of the
mythic Guido & Maurizio De Angelis considering the fact
that, whereas in Germany in 1976 only one track called Tema
Di Laura was printed as side B of the 45 rpm single (side
B contained Orzowei), thanks to the stereo master tapes of
the original recording session we could now assemble 44:06
of music.
The authors have composed an OST where a recurring romantic
waltz-like motif for the female protagonist is introduced
in the Titoli Di Testa (Tr. 1) with Beguine arrangement and
then reprised in experimental form (Tr. 2).
It gets more airy and fast with accordion (Tr. 5, Tr. 13,
Tr. 15) and is alternated with melancholic passages of solo
piano (Tr .6, Tr. 12), with dance floor music for the night
club scene (Tr. 9) and noir motifs with a Giallo flavour (Tr.
3, Tr. 10). |
