| description |
La morte non conta i dollari is a Spaghetti
western realized in 1967 written and directed by director Riccard
Freda (here with the Pseudonym of George Lincoln), one of the
Italian Maestros of Noir and Horror who did venture also in
the very lucky genre.
This movie starring Mark Damon, father of the star Matt Damon,
Stephen Forsyth, Luciana Gilli and Pamela Tudor.
The score by Nora Orlandi and Robby Poitevin are issued for
the first absolute time, kept during four decades in the historic
vaults of Rca.
This Cd contains every note recorded in mono in those days:
the ost opens with Titoli di testa underscored by a rhythmic
adventurous and a little nostalgic theme for trumpet, orchestra
and choir, but the central music theme is a romantic theme with
choir accompaniment, with the harmonica performance and with
a vocal version sung by Raul unused in the final version of
the movie .
Suspence music also backgrounds the dramatic side of the story.
The score also features classic flavoured music with sacred
organ and guitar, latin-flavoured tracks, square dance.
Nora Orlandi sings a suggestive ancient ballad later reprised
with a vocalism.
As bonus tracks the Cd also contains six rare stereo mixes (among
them Titoli di testa) discovered in the original tapes, possibly
conceived for a record that did never see the light in those
days.
Eight colour pages booklet enriched with archive stills.
Sound digitally remastered and restored using the original session
master tapes. |
