Naples.
Commissioner Betti is called in to deal with a dire emergency
situation involving the Neapolitan gangster chief "O'
Generale".
With the help of a special police squad Betti investigates
the violent rape of a woman who is the wife of Dr. Gervasi,
a particularly vile man.
During a raid on the house of "O' Polipo" a dangerous
smuggler, Betti discovers his agenda of criminal treacheries
and robberies, but more importantly he stops another thief.
Betti wants to fight the protection racket that extorts money
from shop keeps, and to this end he organizes a trap.
He sets up a false business in an old garage, one which is
owned and operated by an undercover police officer.
Unfortunately the undercover officer is killed.
Even though Betti scores important successes in the fight
against organized crime in Naples he can't seem to succeed
in catching the Big Boss.
Finally Betti discovers the crime lord attempting to kill
one of his aids, Capuano, and the Commissioner uses this as
a springboard to arrange a gunfight, a gunfight that, in the
end, will incriminate the boss for all the killings...
