| GDM music releases on CD the OST composed by
Ennio Morricone for the Giallo movie directed in 1971 by Enzo
G.Castellari Gli Occhi Freddi Della Paura and starring Giovanna
Ralli, Frank Wolff, Julián Mateos, Fernando Rey, Karin
Schubert.
Peter Badel, young son of a judge, coming back home with
his girlfriend Anna, is kidnapped by two criminals settling
into the house after having killed the servant.
The older of the two criminals, still sentenced from Peter's
father to fifteen years in the jail, wants to kill the judge,
when he comes back home, making the house to explode with
an explosive device.
Peter and his girlfriend try every way to be in touch with
outside, but in vain.
Desperate, the young man causes a short circuit that leaves
the house in the most complete darkness.
During the fight happened in the darkness the two criminal
and the girl are killed:
Peter, the only survivor, bleeding waits for his father's
return.
The Morricone score is of experimental kind, conducted by
Bruno Nicolai and performed by Gruppo di improvvisazione Nuova
Consonanza.
Few instruments in a sort of conversation have created avant-garde
atmosphere, suspended and rarefied, alternated to other violent
sound moments that are the ideal background to the pure terror
plot in which the protagonists are involved.
For the making of this special edition CD the stereo master
tapes of the original session were used that gave the chance
to discover about eleven minutes of inedit music and all digitally
restored and remastered. |
