Digitmovies proudly releases on compact disc
the world premiere complete recording of the original score
by Guido & Maurizio De Angelis for Piedone a Hong Kong,
second movie of the series directed by Steno and starring the
great Bud Spencer, the big cop who uses his fist as the most
powerful weapon in the world.
Originally C.A.M issued in 1975 an hard to find today 45 rpm
single with the two tracks Piedone a Hong Kong (an edited version
of the track 6) and the disco song The tast of love as background
to the Disco sequence.
Guido & Maurizio De Angelis reprise their lovely Piedone
theme in Main titles (tr. 1), in Piedone a Hong Kong (tr. 18),
in Piedone ritorna a Napoli with a funny march-like tempo(tr.
23) and in Piedone a Hong Kong Finale (tr. 24).
The Angelis brothers have captured musically all the colours
of the far East writing very exotic themes like Antichi templi
(tr. 9), L'indagine continua (tr. 12), Mafia cinese (tr. 16),
Fiori di loto e proiettili di piombo (tr. 17).
Piedone is always in action against the bad guys from Hong Kong
and he's background with very groove themes like Bangkok international
airport (tr. 6), Piedone a Bangkok (tr. 7), Hong Kong (tr. 13),
Manhunt (tr. 15), Caccia all'uomo II (tr. 21).
The De Angelis bros. have also written a funny theme for the
character of Mimì Mani d'oro, the weird thief from Neaples
that Piedone meets in Bangkok (tr. 8). |
