This summer is a time for Summertime Killer.
This is one of the all-time classics of European action films...
Directed by Antonio Isasi-Isasmendi (That Man In Istanbul,
They Came To Rob Las Vegas), and starring Chris Mitchum, Olivia
Hussey, Kart Malden, Claudine Auger and Raf Vallote, this
coproduction between Spain and Italy was a huge box-office
success at the time of its original release, later turning
into a cult-film with millions of fans.
Quentin Tarantino was one of the latter, paying homage to
this film with the inclusion of one of the original tracks
in his soundtrack to Kill Bill.
The score, written by Academy Award-winning composer Luis
Bacalov, was only released in Japan in a deluxe but brief
25-minutes LP.
In 1995 one most extensive edition of the score was issued
in Italy by the label Point Records, in a CD now out-of-print
and, for many years, hard-to-find.
However, the previously unreleased tracks in the Point edition
were presented in a non-too rational suite version.
Now, this thrilling score in a newly remastered, restored
and most complete version marks the launch of a special collection
in our label...

This multinational crime action film also boasts
an international cast.
During his childhood, a boy (Chris Mitchum) sees four men drown
his father;
now, the grown young man makes it his business to kill each
member of the foursome.
His last killing presents him with some challenges, as his victim
is only wounded.
He kidnaps the man's daughter (Claudine Auger) and goes to a
hideout. In the meantime, an ex-cop (Karl Malden) has been tracking
them down.
