2 Mythical LPs of the Legendary RCA SP 8000 Series issued
for the first time on CD.
All music taken from the Original Master Tapes.
A fine score by Robby Poiteven, a twist ending, and even
a night club scene where Take A Heart, the great freakbeat
anthem by The Sorrows, plays out in its
entirety. |
Tecnica di un omicidio
In this thriller, an assassin is lured out of retirement with
an offer to kill a former gangster who is hiding out in Europe.
With the help of an assistant, the killer travels to Paris
and begins stalking his victim. He is further helped by a
lovely drug addict who shows him the mark.
He fulfils his mission, but then learns that he has killed
the wrong man.
Not long afterwards, both the gangster and the drug addict
are killed.
It is then that the hit man realizes that his assistant is
behind the deaths and that he is next on the list.
Much of the movie was shot on location in Europe.

quella carogna dell'ispettore sterling
San Francisco Police Inspector Sterling (Henry Silva) is shot
to death early in this interesting crime-drama from director
Emilio P. Miraglia.
Sterling's slow-motion fall to the sidewalk consumes the rest
of the film, interspersed with the story of how he came to
be killed.
Sterling, whose son was accidentally killed during a gangland
shooting, is charged with the murder of a police informant
and kicked off the force.
He dedicates himself to clearing his name and tracking down
the real hitmen while romancing a fashion model with mob ties
(Beba Loncar) and arguing with his officious superior, Commissioner
Donald (Keenan Wynn).
Sterling succeeds in his quest, but pays with his life, and
the film ends as his body concludes its slow-motion fall.
The bizarre electronic soundtrack, scenes of Haight-Ashbury
hippies, and Anglicized credits were clearly designed to simulate
an American film, but the harsh tone and bloody violence betrays
its European pedigree.
Pier Paolo Capponi and Luciano Rossi co-star in the stylish
thriller.
