Nel 2007 il
maestro Trovajoli ha compiuto 90 anni, festeggiati, tra l’altro,
il 3 settembre scorso, con una festa a sorpresa in Campidoglio,
per desiderio del Sindaco di Roma Veltroni. Per rendere omaggio
ad una lunga e fortunata carriera è stata pubblicata
da poco questa ricca antologia musicale di suoi lavori che
spaziano da brani tratti dalle commedie musicali (Rugantino,
1962; Aggiungi un posto a tavola, 1974), a brani appartenenti
a colonne sonore (La Famiglia, 1987; Ieri, oggi, domani, 1963)
a canzoni e ballate che hanno accompagnato tante pellicole
prodotte tra gli anni '50 e gli anni '70 ("Samoa Tamourè"
da I mostri,1963; "Canard a L’orange" da L’anatra
all’arancia,1975 ).
Il sodalizio artistico che ha legato il Maestro, accademico
di S. Cecilia, a Garinei e Giovannini è stato lungo,
intenso e segnato dal successo. Per la coppia d’oro
del teatro italiano del ‘900 Trovajoli ha composto le
musiche di: Rugantino (rappresentato anche a Broadway), di
Ciao Rudy (interpretato da Marcello Mastroianni), Aggiungi
un posto a tavola (con Johnny Dorelli, rappresentato in Italia
e all’estero), e ancora Accendiamo la Lampada, Bravo!,
Se il tempo fosse un gambero, Vacanze romane... |

This Compact
Disc is the very first one (In the more and more complete
discography of the unforgettable Maestro Bruno Nicolai) which
contains only songs written by him and included in his celebrated
soundtracks.
The songwriter Bruno Nicolai is another side of the versatile
composer, author of not only hundreds of original soundtracks
for cinema, television and theatre, but also of chamber music,
ballets etc.
It's also important to mention his proficiency as arranger
and orchestra conductor, apart from being a pianist and organist
of enormous talent, thence a single album wouldn't be sufficient
to represent his huge production as a musician.
This CD is a fascinating mix of sounds of the 60's and 70's,
decades which represent the wondrous creativity of M°
Nicolai and features songs from the soundtrack of movies such
as "Arizona si scateno' e li fece fuori tutti, 100.000
dollari per ringo, the day of the landgrabber, come un uragano,
